Alright alright alright, so I know ive been gone for quite a while, but i am a busy girl these days! I jsut wanted to give all of you a heads up that I will be starting a new blog with my husband Tom- so this one will soon be history! Keep checking for the new address!!
Alright, so for those of you who don't know, Tom and I took bridals yesterday. Yes, you heard me right, TOM and me took bridals. Together. As in he was most definitely there to see me in my dress. BEFORE the wedding day. I know that a few of you have probably started to have heart attacks at this dreadful news- my advice to you is to pick up your phone, dial 9-1-1- and give the nice people your address. Ha Ha Ha! JK.
When we picked our photographer, he strongly suggested that Tom be included in Bridals because he would be a good thing to pose around, or some silly nonsense like that. When he first proposed this idea to me, I was appalled- I mean, my fiance see me in my wedding dress BEFORE we get married? Thats just not done. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized how much it made sense. Im not getting married in my wedding dress, so that reason doesnt really hold up. And then I polled my engaged friends-all but one of them are including the groom in their Bridals. But the thing that made me decide was that I would rather have a thousand pictures of Tom and Me together, than a thousand of just me in my dress. Now, having said that, there are a ton of pictures of just me, but there are also a ton with the both of us.
We were very fortunate to be able to take pictures at the home of one of my dad's friends-Susan and Dave Spafford. And one of the funniest things that happened while we were shooting bridals, was that Susan and David's son Joey, when he saw me in my dress, kept saying "Ally the Bride" over and over and over again. And when I asked him if he thought I looked beautiful, he said "Your so beautiful my darling" and kept following me around the house as we took pictures. I was never just "Ally" when he would talk to me, but "Ally the Bride." It was so cute!! He kept us smiling all day long simply because he is such a cute kid!
So, here is a peek at bridals (My new Mom, Joan, took some pictures so we could get an idea of what they would look like and I have to say, if Wade's pictures are anything like hers-well then they will be pretty beyond fabulous because hers are REALLY good.) And can I just say that the entire day was totally worth it just to see the look on Tom's face when I walked out in my dress? I dont think I could even describe the look he gave me if I tried. But it most definitely was the stuff of fairy tales and I most definitely feel like a princess in my "cupcake dress." So, without further adieu, here is Me! (And my fabulous
We got married on May 14, 2008 after dating on and off for quite a few years. If you were to ask Ally she would tell you that she had Tom pegged from the first day she saw him in the 9th grade. It just took Tom 8 years to catch on...Ha Ha Ha! At least he made the right choice right? ;)
These are my roommates and I have to say that I live with some pretty fantastic girls-I couldn't survive up here without them! They have each in their own way been my saving grace up here, and more than once they have made me laugh so hard I cried-which in my book makes them fantastic people!
